Congratulations to “Theo and Sprout” for making it two years and still being a jolly good read.
While it resists categorization, the book treads over the gravestones of coming of age, young adult, magical realism, Gen X therapy and gender bending exploration.
But don’t take my word. Here are few comments that have come in:
–“I love this book,” which wasn’t even from my Mom.
–“An extraordinary book that will make you think–will turn life as you’ve always thought about it upside down. Undressing gender stereotypes in favor of finding what one truly wants and needs is the theme in this timely Young Adult book.”
–“A carefully crafted coming of age story that questions the boundaries of traditional masculinity versus femininity and their balance within oneself. “
–“You will be transported into the shoes of an insecure teenager, but left with his renewed courage- prepare to have your inner child healed.”
I left out the review that said “This is garbage.” But that was the whole review so I guess I let the cat out the bag there.
But here are some of my own thoughts on “Theo and Sprout”.
